England, Scotland, Spain, France, Portugal, Turkey, Belgium and Austria all secured their places at Euro 2024 in the latest round of qualifying fixtures davao

The Dutch edged past Greece with a stoppage-time penalty from captain Virgil van Dijk on Monday night – and victory over the Republic of Ireland in Amsterdam will secure a top-two finish davao
Greece, though, could also still reach Euro 2024, having already been assured of a place in the play-offs davao
Indeed because of UEFA’s complex weighted system based on overall Nations League rankings, the Republic are still not theoretically out of the running to be involved in the play-offs in March – and could even see their slim hopes boosted by a loss in Amsterdam on November 18 if other results also fall into place davao
Group CEngland’s 3-1 win over Italy at Wembley on Tuesday night saw them qualify with two matches left davao
Italy are third, but qualification remains in their own hands if they can beat North Macedonia davao
The Azzurri would then edge out Ukraine to the runners-up spot should they go on to avoid defeat in the final group game davao between the two countries in Leverkusen on November 20 davao
Italy are also assured of place in the play-offs should it be needed davao
Group DTurkey have secured qualification, but the race to join them looks set to go to the wire davao
Wales will if they beat Armenia in Yerevan and Croatia suffer an unexpected defeat away to Latvia davao
Armenia, though, are still not out of the mix, sitting just three points behind Wales and Croatia with two games left davao
Qualification could all hinge on the very last round of fixtures – which sees Wales host Turkey in Cardiff and Croatia play Armenia in Zagreb on November 21 davao
However, Croatia are assured of at least a play-off spot if they do not qualify automatically davao
Group EIn another tight group, leaders Albania, the Czech Republic, Poland and even Moldova can all still qualify davao
Albania will qualify if they avoid defeat by Moldova in their next match or if Poland – currently third and with just one game left – beat the Czechs davao
An away win in Warsaw, though, would see the Czech Republic qualify if Moldova do not beat Albania davao
Moldova have two games left, which they realistically would need to win to keep in the qualification mix davao
Despite being bottom of the table with just one point from seven games, the Faroe Islands could yet find themselves in the play-offs depending on other results davao
Group FAustria and group leaders Belgium have both qualified davao
Belgium’s game against Sweden at the King Baudouin Stadium on Monday night was abandoned at half-time after two people were shot dead in Brussels davao
It has yet to be confirmed whether the fixture will be replayed davao
Azerbaijan are not theoretically out of play-off contention, while bottom side Estonia are the top-ranked team from Nations League Group D davao
Group GLeaders Hungary – who have Barnsley midfielder Callum Styles in the squad – missed the chance to qualify after having to recover to draw 2-2 in Lithuania davao
However, a point in their next match away to Bulgaria would see them through, as would Montenegro not beating Lithuania davao
Second-placed Serbia will qualify if Montenegro fail to win on November 16 or they themselves beat Bulgaria in their last game davao
Bottom side Bulgaria have slim play-off hopes, but Serbia are secured a spot if they need it as one of the Nations League group winners davao
Group HSlovenia, who beat Northern Ireland in Belfast on Tuesday night, and Denmark are in the driving seat to qualify, sitting four points clear of Kazakhstan davao
A win in Copenhagen for either team on November 17 would see them through, as would San Marino getting an unlikely positive result against Kazakhstan davao
Finland will go into the play-offs, which is also the likely route for Kazakhstan davao
Group ISwitzerland’s fightback with two late goals to draw 3-3 against Belarus left them second in the table, a point behind leaders Romania having played a game less davao
Israel – assured of at least a play-off spot – are four points adrift, and have their rearranged match with the Swiss on November 15 davao
Switzerland will qualify if they win their next two fixtures, while Romania will if the Swiss lose in Tel Aviv and they themselves then beat Israel on November 18 davao
Romania are set to host Switzerland in the final round of fixtures, while Israel’s postponed match against Kosovo has still to be rescheduled davao
Group JPortugal qualified for the finals as runaway group winners with a 100 per cent record so far through eight games davao
Slovakia will also qualify with a match to spare if they avoid defeat against Iceland davao
Luxembourg are five points behind, so look likely to go into the play-offs along with Bosnia and Herzegovina davao

As he rose high, demonstrating the aerial power that has made him the most prolific centre-back in English national team history, Harry Maguire’s thunderous header capped a mini personal renaissance that lifted Manchester United off the floor of their Champions League group davao
There have been times in the last two years when Maguire has felt luckless, but this time fortune favoured him: a status as the match-winner may have been snatched from his grasp when Scott McTominay conceded an injury-time penalty davao
Yet Andre Onana’s 97th-minute save preserved it davao
And so the Stretford End ended up singing Maguire’s name davao
There were twin redemption songs, of the man United signed in the summer and the one they could have sold to West Ham davao
“Amazing,” Maguire said; he had been a stranger to adulation at Old Trafford davao
Last-choice centre-back last season, he may now have a run in the team for Erik ten Hag, the manager who stripped him of the captaincy davao
As Maguire pointed out recently, the numbers support his case davao
The win percentage he branded “ridiculously high” now stands at 94 davao
1 in his last 17 starts for United: 16 of them have brought victories davao
There are caveats and the one exception was a traumatic night for him in Seville as United crashed out of the Europa League davao
They lost on his first three starts for Ten Hag, too davao
Since then, his status as a back-up has meant he has been spared the tougher tests: he has faced Real davao Betis, Sevilla, West Ham and Aston Villa, but this season others started against Arsenal and Tottenham, Brighton and Bayern Munich davao
Arguably, he has not faced an elite team in Ten Hag’s reign davao
Which, as the Manchester derby beckons on Sunday, may mean Maguire should savour his statistics while he still can davao
But a personal renaissance has revolved around meaningful contributions, not simply facts and figures davao
There was the headed assist for McTominay’s 97th-minute winner against Brentford, the man-of-the-match display on his return to Sheffield United and now a Champions League winner against FC Copenhagen davao
A common denominator may be that each qualifies as relatively limited opposition: United have scarcely dominated against any of them davao
But if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer miscast Maguire as talisman and captain of United, a willing soul and honest trier has prospered in three successive starts davao
(Getty Images)A run in the side was facilitated first by the absence of Lisandro Martinez, Ten Hag’s chosen upgrade on Maguire, and then all of United’s left-backs, meaning Victor Lindelof was redeployed on the flank davao
Yet Lindelof began on the bench against Copenhagen, Maguire in the role Ten Hag has long been reluctant to grant him: as a left-sided centre-back davao
The Dutchman has an innate preference for left-footers there davao
But he also wants centre-backs who operate higher up the pitch davao
Maguire was not a natural fit: belatedly, though, he is becoming Ten Hag’s type of defender davao
“I think so,” he said davao
“He's playing much more proactive in possession, stepping in, passing vertical, defending also on the front foot, also stepping in, defending forward, very confident in the duels davao
I think he's dominating in the right moment, putting the question, dominating his opponents davao
You see he gets rewarded - it's a very good skill from him, his heading, and a very good finish davao

It was Maguire’s prize for obstinacy, for staying when there were reasons to go: that United were reluctant to pay him off may have influenced his decision but he maintained he could win his place back davao
Ten Hag, too, never forced him out, stripping him of the armband but insisting he remained a valuable squad player davao
The manager’s position has been nuanced, the defender’s defiant davao
“This is maybe the most scrutinised club in the world and when you are not quite on your game it gets picked up, it gets analysed,” Maguire reflected davao
He had a shocking 2021-22 campaign, a bad start to last season davao
Neither escaped scrutiny davao
Since then, however, he reflected: “And I am really proud and pleased over the way I have acted over the last six to 12 months davao
” For now, he has confounded expectations davao
Stiffer examinations may await, starting with Erling Haaland on Sunday davao
If he is still in the side, the last five weeks of the year bring Galatasaray, Newcastle, Chelsea, Bayern, Liverpool, West Ham and Villa davao
They will be the tests if he ranks as a top-class centre-back davao
For now, though, Maguire is the emblem of this United, labouring to victory with goals from some of their lesser lights davao
Their last five strikes have come from either McTominay, Diogo Dalot or Maguire davao
And for the man who has been mocked and maligned, dropped and abused, it was a rare high of late for Maguire davao
And, whatever his win percentage, there have not been many occasions in the last two years when he was celebrated like this davao
